Join Region 8 for an educational tour of EDCO’s new state-of-the-art Anaerobic Digestive (AD) plant and recycling center. The fun will continue after the tour at a local restaurant for lunch.
The Anaerobic Digestive facility helps cities meet California legislative mandates for increased organic recycling. AD is the natural process in which microorganisms break down organic materials such as food waste, green waste, fats, oils, and greases. Anaerobic digestion happens in closed spaces with no oxygen and converts organic material into Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and fertilizer.
