Being an operational expert and supervising employees is hard enough without factoring in how to manage the many rights public employees have. This training will help outline for supervisors and managers the legal framework related to labor and the meet and confer process, protected leaves of absence and managing attendance, and the interactive process and reasonable accommodations. With a better understanding of these rights and limitations, supervisors will be better equipped to manage employees in their day-to-day job duties. This webinar workshop uses a case study format to focus on the concepts of required topics of meet and confer, management rights, abuse of leave, excessive absenteeism, protected leaves of absence, and the interactive process, including fitness for duty and reasonable accommodations.
